The Facility

About Kartright Speedway

Kartright Speedway is Singapore's first ever permanent competition-length karting race track. Comprising of a 750 meters long, technically challenging circuit, the track is located at 511 Upper Jurong Road. Just a short walk away from Joo Koon MRT and close by the Pan Island Expressway (PIE), this facility is easily accessible for everyone. There are also ample parking lots for those who drive. Parking charges can be found here.

The track took five months to be built and is finished with the best grade of bitumen to facilitate high speed racing on slick tyres. It also boasts of being the first ever flood-light lit track in Singapore, allowing spectacular night racing. To further satisfy the drivers' needs for an enthralling competition, the track is constructed to be 7-metre wide so as to allow thrilling overtaking opportunities. Race karts can go up to 130 km/h and the average time clocked by race per lap is 36 seconds. Kartright Speedway, together with the Singapore Motor Sports Association (SMSA), will be organising competitive races regularly.

The facility encompasses a two-storey building which includes a pit lane, spectator viewing gallery, teaching rooms, washrooms, lounges, office and F&B outlets. The track is supported by a full complement of on-site facilities including a pro shop to cater to the needs of karters and indoor kart storage services. Owners of karts can now schedule their own practice sessions - a luxury never experienced before.

Officially opened on 9 January 2010, the track has been well-received by the karting community. It sees a constant stream of recreational karters, corporate bookings, stag nights and club activities. A growing segment of karters at the track are the children ranging from as young as four years old up to 15 years of age, some of which participate in cadet and junior events. Kartright Speedway has also established its own academy to train keen karters and develop promising talent.

Safety is never compromised at Kartright Speedway. The track is surrounded with approximately 4,000 tyres as safety walls to cushion the impact of collisions. Kartright Speedway marshals are deployed at all times to render assistance in times of a breakdown or an incident. Kartright Speedway operates from 11.00 am to 10.00 pm on weekdays, 9.00 am to 10.00 pm on Saturdays and 9.00 am to 7.00pm on Sundays.
